NVVA Signs John Teifer as Technical Director
Sterling, VA, September 21, 2009 -- Northern
Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA)has hired John Teifer
to head program development in several key areas. John, most
recently the Technical and Recruiting Director at Virginia
Elite, will be focused on coaches training, collegiate recruiting,
and player development at all levels.
I am thrilled to be back at NVVA, says John Teifer, I have
been impressed with the dedication of this organization for
many years and, the opening of its new volleyball facility,
gives me the tools to ensure NVVA continues to be the premier
organization for growing the skills and interest in volleyball
in the Chesapeake Region.
John has over 30 years of volleyball experience at all levels,
both as a player and a coach. NVVA President, Dean Shumway,
noted, It is great to have John back with NVVA. His resume
speaks for itself and there is no doubt that John is the top
volleyball technical director in this area if not one of the
best in the country. We are fortunate to have him driving
the technical development for our players. Combined with the
opening of our new facility, having John in charge of player
and coach development and recruiting will enable NVVA to offer
the strongest program in the area."
