Volunteer and Job Opportunities at NVVA

Attorney:

NVVA is seeking an experienced attorney who is willing to provide initial legal advice on club related matters as needed and potentially make recommendations for further legal council, if needed. Facility Manager:

NVVA is conducting a national search to hire a manager for a volleyball club facility. This person needs to have qualifications to market to the community, manage and operate a facility which will include, but is not limited to, practice courts, juniors and adult volleyball tournaments, various youth and community activities, food operations, retail space, adjunct services. The qualified applicant will run day-to-day operations and actively seek revenue growth opportunities. They must have good interpersonal skills to manage employees as well as club members and the general public using the space. Computer and marketing skills are also required. Associated Programs Director:

We are seeking a Programs Director. This is a volunteer, NVVA Board position and involves the active participation in growing volleyball in the Northern Virginia area through seeking new opportunities and new sites that will help provide the general public with a better understanding of the sport and NVVA. This person must be willing to participate in various community meetings and work through logistical issues that will enable the growth of volleyball in this area. A good understanding of volleyball and the role it plays in communities is important. Good interpersonal and communications skills are essential. Parent Council Director:

We are seeking a Parent Council Director. This is a volunteer, NVVA Board position whose primary responsibility is to gather parent views, opinions and suggestions throughout the year. This is an ombudsman role to assist with parent, player and coach issues, which are reported on a regular basis to the VP and annually to the NVVA Board.
