NVVA's Winter Break Skills clinics will provide players with a chance to learn or work on proper technique and form for each volleyball skill. Clinics are offered for all different levels of athletes and skill levels.
All Skills Clinics are great for beginners or those that would like an overview of all skills of volleyball: passing, setting, serving, and hitting. Recommended ages 10-16 and all skill levels.

Coach Hannah Vick
Hannah is currently the head coach for 12 Select Vick. Hannah has played competitive volleyball going on eleven years. While in high school, Hannah played club volleyball at NVVA for three years and assistant coached her senior year for a 14s team. She then went on to Virginia Tech where she played on the nationally ranked club team all four years. Hannah was the Head Freshman and JV volleyball coach and Assistant Varsity coach at Herndon High School from 2015-2017. While in school, she played middle hitter, but after a knee injury has learned to really love playing back row. She believes in giving it your all on the court while still making practices fun and exciting.
Skills Specific Clinics are a more in-depth breakdown of each skill, focussing on improving technique and proficiency. Recommended levels of play are intermediate to advanced.

Coach Rodrigo Gomes
NVVA’s President/CEO Rodrigo Gomes is a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He played college volleyball for the 3-time National Champion Brigham Young University Men's Volleyball team. Gomes began his volleyball training on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro with his father as his coach. In Brazil, he played professional volleyball for the top teams in Rio de Janeiro and was a part of multiple state team selections, winning the state championship in every age group, and was recognized in the state’s Hall of Fame.
After a short period as technical director, Rodrigo was named NVVA's Executive Director and in 2016 he was named NVVA's President and CEO. Coach Rodrigo is currently the Co-Head Coach for 15 ICE travel team.
