Car Raffle Cancelled


Due to ticket sales not meeting the minimum number to be sold by 5:00 PM on  May 15th, the 2013 NVVA car raffle has been cancelled. According to the official rules and regulations of the raffle “If fewer than 400 tickets are sold by 5:00 p.m., May 15, 2013,  NVVA may cancel the raffle in its sole discretion, and any participant who has previously purchased a raffle ticket will be refunded the cost of each ticket purchased within 5 business days”.

NVVA appreciates the generosity of those individuals that purchased tickets and donated their time to put this event together. NVVA would also like to thank Lindsay Volkswagen for their partnership in this event and we look forward to giving the car raffle another try this fall.

NVVA is looking for a Full Charge PT Bookkeeper


PT BOOKKEEPER: Northern Virginia Volleyball Association is currently looking for a Full Charge PT Bookkeeper. Hours are flexible with a few days in the office. Qualified candidates must have 2 or more yrs experience with full charge bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, 1099s, G/L, recons, F/S reports & JEs. Must be proficient in Excel and knowledge of QB pref. Applicant must be a self-starter, detailed, reliable and can work w/out supervision. CHRVA Youth High Performance


Four NVVA players and a coach Seng Chiu were on the CHRVA Youth High Performance team won the silver medal at the USA High Performance Championships. The players were Morgan McKnight (NVVA ICE 14-1), Olivia Aycock and Taylor van der Biezen (NVVA ICE 15-2) and Maria Velicu (15-Open.

Also four NVVA players on the CHRVA Select High Performance team: Julia Kim (NVVA ICE 13-1), Taylor Borup (NVVA ICE 14-1), Emily Sciorra (NVVA ICE 14-1) and Elise Dumouchelle (NVVA ICE 14-1). They finished 9th.

Laura Aldrich has been named as our new Secretary


NVVA is happy to announce that Laura Aldrich has been named as our new Secretary. Laura has over 20 years of corporate management experience with regional retailers and international suppliers in the housewares and tableware industry. For the last five years, she has been employed at Fortessa, Inc. and is currently the Director of E-Commerce. She has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Bentley University. [ VIEW COMPLETE BIO ]
