3rd Annual NVVA Dig Pink Tournament

NVVA is proud to announce the 3^rd Annual NVVA Dig Pink Tournament, a two-day extravaganza at the Virginia Volleyball Center in Sterling Virginia!

May 19 will be for 12s, 15s and 16s. May 20 will be for 13s and 14s.

Last year we had 37 teams from 9 clubs participate in the two day tournament.
That’s roughly 440 players, and working together we raised over $43,000!! WOW!

And as amazing as that was, we think we can do it again this year – so come be a part of it! The sooner you register, the more time you’ll have to raise money for Dig Pink so HURRY!

CHANGE FROM LAST YEAR: This year’s tournament is a CHRVA sanctioned event, so registration and payments are being done via the CHRVA website. Register for Dig Pink now.

The entry fee is $220, which covers facilities and paid officials.

Each participating team is asked to provide a parent representative to work with the NVVA Dig Pink Committee to coordinate your team’s efforts in fundraising and seeking sponsors. Please provide the parent rep’s name and contact information with your registration.

The goal is to raise as much money as possible for Dig Pink/The Side Out Foundation. Teams can raise money by doing bake sales, parents’ night out, or car washes or similar events. One year a team even raised money at the event by hosting a vendor table selling jewelry they had made; all proceeds were donated.

Additionally, each participating team will have a page on the Side Out Foundation’s web site (http://side-out.org/). These pages will provide an excellent means for fundraising, as there is a sample letter you can send to friends and family, with a link to a secure online donation system that provides donors with receipts.

We encourage teams to solicit sponsorships from local businesses to help offset tournament costs. The names and logos of our sponsors will appear on the tournament T-shirts, brochures, and banner.

Awards will be given to the teams that raise the most amount of money in each age division, and a Grand Prize will go to the team that raises the most amount overall for the two day tournament. Also, medals will be given to the 1^st and 2^nd place teams in each age division. All players will receive souvenir T-shirts.

At the tournament, there will be a Dig Pink Booth with t-shirts and other Dig Pink items for sale.

We hope that you will join us in raising money for breast cancer awareness and having a great time playing volleyball! We encourage you to register as soon as possible, in order to have the greatest amount of time for your fundraising efforts.

Dig Pink is the outreach branch of the Side-Out Foundation, and is a Breast Cancer Awareness Rally designed to educate and raise funds to help eradicate the disease.
