Dear NVVA Families and Patrons,

As the President and CEO of NVVA, I wanted to personally address the coronavirus pandemic that has reached our community.

With our local counties and jurisdictions continuing to navigate the fluidity of the coronavirus situation, I want to assure all of you that we are staying in step with those changes and updating our plan for our community.

Here is what we have received in the way of announcements which has set the framework for our decision process:

*At 10 pm Mountain Time, on March 11, 2020, USA Volleyball issued a statement with a recommendation to cancel or reschedule any USAV sanctioned event (Message from USAV).

*At approximately 4:45 am EST, on March 12, 2020, Loudoun County Schools issued a statement that will effectively close all schools in the county from 3/12-20 (Message from Superintendent).

*At 10:20 am EST, on March 12, 2020, Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association (CHRVA) issued a statement canceling all sanctioned tournaments in the region

This information, along with the fact that we are an organization where thousands of athletes and their families call home, NVVA has decided to close the Virginia Volleyball Center and postpone all of its programs effective 3/12-22. During this time, we will continue to monitor how the spread of the coronavirus evolves and evaluate any additional precautions that may need to be taken.

All families and individuals who are enrolled in one of our programs, classes, or lessons can expect to be notified within 24 hours about how this decision will affect them specifically.

We know that this decision will give our families an opportunity to focus on what is important at this time which is the health and well-being of your own family.  We appreciate the support and understanding of our community during this time. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@nvva.com.  With our facility being closed, email will be the best way to contact our staff.  We will guarantee a 24 hour response to all questions sent by email regarding the impact of our decision.
