Outdoor Lessons to Start Monday, June 1

During Phase 1 we will have the opportunity to work outdoors with our athletes. At the VVC we have set up an outdoor training area with mini stations to provide a variety of training options.

Before booking, please remember that these lessons are setup outside at the Virginia Volleyball Center, and the resources available are walls, Bownet, and half court Volleyball net. You can see a demo video here and our equipment sanitation process. Because we are outside, please make sure your athlete wears appropriate clothing and brings plenty of liquids.

Pick the skills you want to work on! All lessons will be 45 minutes long. The categories below will be offered at a Youth Development or Advanced/Intermediate level.

  • - Passing Ball Control (Resource: Wall Space)
    - Setting Ball Control (Resource: Wall Space)
    - Hitting Control + Accuracy (Resource: Bownet)
    - Serving Control + Accuracy (Resource:Bownet)
    - Setting Accuracy (Resource: Volleyball net)
    - Outdoor Performance (Resource: Hillside)

We have selected two time frames that are ideal to avoid the heat of the day:

- 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Please review the following before you appointment

Please evaluate your child’s health for any signs or symptoms of being ill.  Any athlete showing signs of sickness WILL NOT be allowed to participate.
Participants need to be dressed in appropriate training gear, have a face mask, water and/or electrolyte drink, and adequate sunscreen for their session.

Athletes should arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to their session.  DO NOT exit the vehicle until VVC staff or the assigned coach has conducted a temperature check.

Parents may park and observe but MAY NOT enter the training area or approach coaches or athletes during the session.  Questions or comments can be sent via email.

Bathroom access (located by the sand court) will be allowed one person at a time ONLY.

Coaches and athletes will maintain 10 feet of social distance during the session and will not handle any equipment that the athlete will use during all training programs.

Coaches are required to wear face masks, it is optional for the athlete during outdoor activities.

Coaches and athletes will use hand sanitizer before, during, and after their session.

Coaches will be required to wear masks, maintain a 10 foot distance from any and all athletes, and will not handle 

After each session, we immediately sanitize all equipment and balls used during your session.  Additionally, balls will not be put back into use for a minimum of 4-6 hours.
