What a great month for NVVA! Congratulations to all of our teams that competed representing us! We had a great turn out as an entire club, showing all of the hard work coaches have put into their seasons. Here's a condensed recap of our teams' outcomes:

13 Select 1: 1st in all of 13 Club Regionals
13 Select 2: 3rd in all of 13 Club Regionals
13 Black: won Bronze Bracket
13 Gray: won their bracket
15 Select 2: won the Bronze bracket
15 Select 1: finished 2nd in their tournament
15 Red: finished 2nd in their bracket
15 White: finished 2nd in their tournament
16 Select 2: Finished 2nd in their bracket

A few teams really played their hearts out for this round of tournaments. 13 Select 1 coaches Meghan Dudley & Buck Blackburn had an outstanding season with their girls. Here's what Meghan had to say: "As a coach, I couldn't have asked for a better way to end our already amazing season. The girls were prepared for some tough competition and worked hard in practices leading up to Regionals. When we went undefeated in pool play I knew they were hungry for the win. We played Select 2 in the semi final with a win. When we saw Metro win their semi final we immediately got into game mode. We took it one point at a time, like we've done all season, served them hard, played smart, and won the first match by 10 points. Second match we dropped and lost by 2. 3rd match started, we scored the first few points and there was no looking back. We beat Metro for the 3rd time this season, all of which were Championships (NVPL, Irish Rumble, and now Regionals).

I'm so extremely proud of each player and look forward to watching them continue to grow in the sport for the years to come."

Following close behind 13 Select 1, 13 Select 2 played their hearts out and took 3rd overall at CHRVA Regionals. Here's what head coach Maury Mathis had to say about her girls' season: "This year, we had an amazing group of young ladies During the tournament, the back row was reading hitters and seeing the holes they were aiming for and digging left and right. The front row reading the hitters and getting blocks and shutting them down. Sometimes, with this last tournament as our finale, the girls put on a great performance and moved in rhythm, overcoming injuries and having to play in different positions than they're used to. It was something beautiful to watch and I am so proud of them and how much they have grown."

Congratulations to all of our teams that finished up their seasons this weekend!
