DIVISION DESCRIPTION
Our Red Division is for athletes looking for a longer commitment to a team (6 months) and more intensive training (two hours, two times per week) than recreational leagues offer, along with a team competition schedule. Ideal candidates for this division are girls who have been playing in a local league and are ready to commit time to club volleyball or current club athletes who prefer a less demanding schedule. Our Red Division allows families to explore the commitment required for a club volleyball experience to see if it is the right step in their volleyball journey.
Red Division fees include membership, practice court time, gear package, coaches pay, and tournament entry fees.
Teams will compete in 4 tournaments per season at the Virginia Volleyball Center.
TEAM COACHES
This will be Bill's seventeenth year of coaching for NVVA. He has coached middle and high school ages at all levels. Bill has been playing volleyball since college and is CAP II certified, Gold Medal Squared (GMS) trained, and an AVCA member. Bill’s goals are to develop players’ volleyball and life skills by challenging them to grow and learn, teaching them to work successfully as a team through trust and communication, and instilling an enjoyment of volleyball that will last their entire life.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Should any tournament listed on the scheduled be canceled, we will first attempt to identify an event of a similar format within the season. If we cannot fulfill the number of tournament days listed on the schedule, we will issue a credit to player accounts that equal the fees calculated for the event.

OPEN TRYOUTS
Every year, we host club volleyball open tryouts for teams that have spots available on their roster. During tryouts, coaches will be looking for unique characteristics in each player to create a well-rounded team roster. During sign-up, you will be asked what your preferred division is. Make sure to fully understand the time commitment of each division and team before starting tryouts registration. Our coaches will fully evaluate each athlete to place them on the team that best matches their skill level.

BE PREPARED
Our Club Prep Fall clinics are designed for players that are serious about playing club volleyball. The coaches for the program are from our X-Performance, Travel, Black, and Red divisions, which will give you the opportunity to meet and work with your possible coaches for the next club season. The clinics are divided by age group and you should pick the age group you will be playing club volleyball for next season.

What is the best division/level for my athlete?The main difference between our divisions is the time and financial commitment your family is willing to dedicate to club volleyball. Our coaches we do their best to place each athlete in the most appropriate team, however, ultimately is up to families to choose the team schedule that works best to their family. If you believe your athlete and your family are ready to fully commit to club volleyball, just select "All divisions" during registration and our coaches will know that we can place your athlete at the team that best fits their skill level.
