What is Galaxy?
The Galaxy League program was established for boys and girls in middle school & high school ages 11-17. Since then, we have also opened the league to younger elementary school players ages 8-11. Players are chosen based on athletic and skill testing, then placed on a team with participants of similar testing scores and age.

The Fall 2022 Galaxy season is now open for registration!
Tryouts
Athletes new to Galaxy must attend a tryout for the session.
A tryout is not a guarantee of placement on a team. Athletes are placed based on their assessment scores and team availability. All assessments take place at the Virginia Volleyball Center. To learn more about the cost of tryouts and the season, please click here.

** Galaxy athletes that played the previous season can use their end-of-season assessment for team placement if they choose. Summer Galaxy families should look for an email with more information in early May.
Practices
Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday, Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons. All practices will be led by NVVA coaches and held at the Virginia Volleyball Center in Sterling, VA. Your practice days will depend on the team your athlete is assigned to. We will not know the days until teams are formed. Your athlete will practice 2 times each week.
