Flat Panel Detectors (FPDs) are advanced imaging devices used primarily in digital radiography and fluoroscopy for medical and industrial applications. These detectors convert X-rays into digital signals, enabling high-resolution and real-time imaging. FPDs are composed of a scintillator layer (often made of cesium iodide or gadolinium oxysulfide) that converts X-rays into visible light, and a photodiode array or thin-film transistor (TFT) panel that transforms this light into an electrical signal. Compared to traditional film or computed radiography, FPDs offer faster image acquisition, reduced radiation dose, and superior image quality, making them increasingly preferred in hospitals and diagnostic centers. There are two main types of flat panel detectors: indirect and direct conversion. Indirect FPDs use a scintillator to convert X-rays into light before converting the light into an electrical signal, while direct FPDs convert X-rays directly into an electrical charge using materials like amorphous selenium. FPDs are lightweight, durable, and compatible with portable and fixed imaging systems, allowing for versatile use in various clinical environments such as trauma imaging, surgery, dental radiography, and veterinary care. Their digital nature supports easy image storage, sharing, and integration with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), enhancing workflow efficiency and diagnostic accuracy.   View More Trending Titles:- https://www.emergenresearch.com/industry-report/seed-treatment-market   https://www.emergenresearch.com/industry-report/eyewear-market   https://www.emergenresearch.com/industry-report/microcurrent-device-market   https://www.emergenresearch.com/industry-report/bioinformatics-market   https://www.emergenresearch.com/industry-report/genetic-testing-market
